We are all co-creators, made for community.

So we've designed a gathering space to create and be known.

It's a glass house.

Join us as we come together to learn, to create, and to practice being generously human.

community table - May 15, 2021

glass house spring tablescape

In this serial dinner club (more dates to follow), we'll gather with friends through the seasons to chop, simmer, and roast our way to a delicious farm-to-table meal with ingredients that are grown on site and locally sourced. In our first community dinner we'll prepare a multi-course springtime menu together with the freshest ingredients we can find.

Want to forage some ingredients together? We'll be on the lookout for the emergence of ramps, asparagus, and other tender greens to add to the table. We'll let you know what's officially on the menu the week before we gather. No real culinary skills are required, but you're going to get into it. Tickets are $100/each.

paint what you see - May 25, 2021

Artist David Newhof

Join members of the glass house community as we learn to see and paint with local artist David Newhof. We'll be working in acrylic paint which is a forgiving medium and perfect for beginners and artists of all skill levels. Dave will take us through the process of really seeing a still life, playing with washes and color mixing, and ultimately translating what we see onto canvas.

Tickets for this workshop are $65 and this includes all the supplies you'll need, including: paint, brushes, canvas, and an easel. We'll set up class in and around the glass house with enough space to move around and see from different angles. You'll leave with your own original painting, and (we hope!) a full heart and inspiration to keep learning.

glass house community table

These long June days just call for joyful lingering over good food, drink, and conversation, and in celebration of the beginning of summer, we're excited to host our second community dinner on June 4.

Together we'll prepare a multi-course early summer menu  with the freshest ingredients we can find: the tenderest greens, the earliest berries, new potatoes, fennel, and much more. Our official menu will come together the week before we gather, but it's going to be delicious.

Tickets are $100 each and you'll want to come hungry, and ready to learn and dive right in.

weddings at the glass house

The glass house is an intimate gathering space, nestled between two hills in the heart of rural west Michigan and conveniently located halfway between Grand Rapids and the lakeshore. Our space offers comfortable seating in rows for up to 50 guests.

The grounds on our historic farm provide multiple vignettes for photos, outdoor gatherings, yard games, and joyful lingering. In keeping with our values, the farm is a place of growth and nourishment. We live here with our children and various animals, and we want it to be a blessing to future generations.

We offer multiple wedding packages that include the glass house and the use of our grounds, our farmhouse, cottage, and barn. For a more complete picture of our grounds, check out these wedding videos shot on our farm in June and August. For availability and pricing, get in touch.
